‘Beat the Blues’ Workshop

Steven Dargan from the organisation AWARE visited the school this week to conduct the ‘Beat the Blues’ workshop with 5th and 6th years.  The workshop is based on the Think. Feel. Act. Programme which is a positive mental health programme for senior cycle students.  In the workshop, Steven addressed issues such as core beliefs,  symptoms of depression, good mental health and the principles for coping with difficult situations.  Both workshops went very well and the feedback from the students was very positive.  We look forward to having Steven conduct the workshops again next year.
